I was always fascinated with the intricate embroidery work and time that went into each one. I love the fact that most of mine are dated and signed by the artist. I have made a few of them in my day. But just cant compare to the older ones I find. Early 1900's can still be bought for under $20.00 and I think they are a wonderful addition to a country or primitive home decor. What do you think???
Have a great day!

This is a wonderful piece. I have a few and the laundry room display sounds like a perfect idea!!! Please show us more in your collection. I love the history of them!!!
It is really lovely to enjoy something handmade so long ago. My mind flies away creating all kinds of magical stories about whom may have stitched those pieces.
Hi Lorri - your samplers are wonderful! I actually have to purhcase a frame for a sampler I cross-stitched back in the 80's. It was right before I switched from prim to cottage decor, but I think it will fit in just fine!... Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage
These are so so beautiful Lorri - and when you think of all the hours of work that went into them it is great they are so cherished and looked after in your home!
I love old embroider! Those cross stitch samplers are just wonderful!
