An Early Christmas

We have had a difficult time this year finding some mistletoe. So, when I came home last night I was surprised to see two sprigs of it already hanging in the house. I do not know where Donnie found them but he did it! Then he surprised me with an early Christmas present. I have been looking for a china cabinet to display my dishes but I just couldn't find the right one. I prefer it to be old, but wanted it to be reasonably priced as well. I stopped by an old junk place Saturday and was looking around to see what was for sale, when I spotted it. It is a beautiful Duncan Phyfe china hutch, the top had three shelf's for dishes and the bottom has 2 cabinets and 3 drawers for storing linens. The price was $250.00. It is in wonderful condition, so yesterday sweetie went to take a look at it and he bought it for me. I am so happy. It fits perfectly in the dining room. Last night I put a few pieces of my china in it to see how it would look. I haven't had time to take some pictures but promise I will. It is going to work beautifully for my needs.

So, I have had a Merry Christmas already! The house is in a wreck right now, it still needs to be cleaned. Some of the kids are already here and I have to work today and tomorrow. So, the prep time is over.If anything has been forgotten, it is too late. I am sure we will survive! Hope you have a wonderful day today, it is still very cold here and I am looking forward warmer weather. Well, I am off to work another day! Be blessed!

Hugs,
Lorri

Hi Lori - your dresser sounds wonderful. How thoughtful of the lovely Mr Lori!! Looking forward to seeing a picture of it soon.

I will most probably not be online over the next day or two as we are having family over for Christmas, so in the meantime I hope you have a truly wonderful time!
