Friday Project

This is a bench I have had for many years and I currently use it at the foot of the bed. I haven't done anything with it since I bought the new bedspread. So my task today is to recover it to match the rest of the room.

I bought my favorite red toile at Hobby Lobby. It was 30% off the original price so I got the fabric for $6.

I took the screws out of the stool with my drill so that I could easily staple the new fabric to the cushion.

I trimmed the excess fabric around the edges. Placed the cushion back on the frame and screwed it back into place with my handy dandy screw gun.

Much Better! It made a big difference in the look. This project took me less than 30 minutes from beginning to end.

I am going to thrift shop. Have a great Friday. See you tomorrow for Pink Saturday!

Hugs,

Lorri

What a gorgeous fabric Lorri, and such a wonderful job! It never ceases to amaze me how some people can just decide to turn their hand to something and all of a sudden they have a gorgeous new thing to show off. We have a little nursing chair that was Rod's Mum's and I love it but it needs someone to show me how to recover it. Now, there's something you can show me how to do when you are here on your grand tour of Ireland!!

Love and blessings to you and your family this weekend Lorri!
