Some mornings I wake up thinking, I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. Do you ever feel that way? Demands are placed on our life that we have to perform. Work, family, laundry, housework, ironing, cooking, grocery shopping and the list goes on and on.
A few months ago I found this little sign in a store and I it made me stop to remember how fortunate I am. I have a great job, I have a family who loves me and wants to come over and spend time with us. I have a new washing machine to do my laundry. I don't have to use a scrub board to wash those items, I have a dryer to dry them in a timely fashion. I have a nice home, that is warm and comfortable. I have a super nice husband who loves me and appreciates everything I do. We have money to pay our bills and buy food. We have warm clothes to wear and good cars to drive. We really are so blessed! Take time today to remember all the things we can be thankful for.
Many folks are having to struggle today to make the mortgage, buy food and clothe their little ones. Pray for their needs and uplift them in your prayers. This life is only here for a short time, and it is so very precious. Remember today all the many things we consider so important are the least of our worries. We are blessed and sometimes we do not recognize just how blessed we really are! Enjoy your life today, enjoy your children, enjoy the blessings that have come your way.
Blessing to you and your family,
Lorri

WE can all take a page from your Book!! When my Family gets the blues I always say we have it better than so many people out there right now and when I watch the news I know it to be true!
Have a Blessed Day!
Oh Lorrie, this is all so true. Sometimes I spread myself too thin and get very stressed out. Yesterday, in fact, I proclaimed that Sunday I am going to relax, no ifs, ands or buts. After I volunteer a couple hours at the cat adoption place here in town. Hehe. But after...jacuzzi, relaxing, reading magazines. I am also so thankful I am not struggling. I am hoping everyone will get back on their feet who are and this economy will turn around very soon.
Thanks for the "relax" reminder. :)
Thank you, I plan to take your advice TODAY!
Hi Lorrie, thank you for your kindness today.
What a lovely post Lorri, you are so right - how easy it is to forget our blessings and be grateful for those things we are lucky enough to have in our lives. Like wonderful blogging friends reminding us of the important things in life!
Blessings and positive wishes coming to you and your family for the coming week dear one!

Another wonderful post! It's been hard lately not to give up and stay in bed all day crying over my recent horrendous loss, but I refuse to do that. I still have so much to be grateful for. Thanks for the reminder!!
Lorri, What a beautiful testament! I in a small way mirror your life. My family lived in a 900sq.ft home for over 25yrs. I raised two children in that home. Most of my furniture was hand me downs, and I hardly ever bought new clothes for my husband and I. I was a stay at home mom, and that is the way it was meant to be. Fourteen years ago, we were able to purchase a nicer home in a better neighborhood in a different city, and life was good until my husband and my son and I lost our jobs in the failing economy. I thought we would never ever live through that hard time. My son found another job, although it is lesser pay, and he has to live with us, my husband retired, and I will be collecting my social security starting in March. So, things are looking up. Faith is what saw us through this, and a whole lot of prayer and trust that God is in control.
I like your blog very much.
Blessings, ginny
