School has started and it brings me joy and sadness. My daughter is in her senior year, kinda bittersweet. On one hand, I will never buy school clothes with a teenage daughter again. On the other, Im sure next year I will miss it.But more than ever, I am so happy that fall is upon us! We have had a severe heat wave and it is just now starting to wane a bit. By the end of the week temperatures should only be around 95 degrees. I cant wait for fall, it is my favorite time of year.

i'm a new "empty nester" now so i know exactly how you feel. it seems like we get our hottest weather about the time the kids go back to school. i can't wait for fall.
I enjoyed your post very much! I SOOOO understand where you are coming from. My only child was married a week and a half ago...The other day, I was shopping and I saw several teenage girls and their moms shopping for school clothes. A LOT of them were arguing. I do remember those days. At the time, I dreaded them...now I LONG to have them back!
