Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! We just got back from the Sunday matinee. The movie we went to see was Night in the Museum. The kids really liked it. We are going to lay around the rest of the day and rest. Have a great afternoon.

Movie Monday!

We watched this movie last week. I was really excited to see it, because I LOVE Emma Thompson. I thought the movie was sweet, but not very realistic. Here are two wonderful actors in a movie together and it should have been great! But the entire movie never clicked for me. Harvey travels to his daughters wedding where he is informed that the stepfather will be giving the bride away. He loses his job over the phone. He misses his flight home so while he is sitting in an airport he strikes up a conversation with Emma Thompson. She completely ignores him, but before the conversation is over they are somehow going out on a date???? Would you go out on a date with someone you just met????? At an airport???? Remember the movie Taken???? I should think not. Anyway, maybe you will like it better than I did. But I would rent it on $1 day!

New Toy!

Yesterday I was browsing on Craigslist and found a new toy to play with. This is a 1977 Serro Scotty Sportsman camper.

It is very simular to my first trailer and it is in very good condition. The paint has oxidized and will need a fresh coat, but overall a great buy.

Fortunantly we have a friend who does that for a living

The fridge is new and it also came with a microwave. The stove works great!

Of course I have to get in there and do some decorating. I want to recover the cushions. But right now I have to do a major cleaning. It has been set up for a couple of years and needs a good scrub.

Not sure whether to paint all of the paneling or not. What do you think?

I am off for a few days to rest! So happy that I can spend some time with my sweetie. We are taking off on the motorcycle. See you soon!

Movie Monday!

This is a very intense movie right from the start! We watched this last night, and was completely riveted to our seats! I would not want to make an enemy with this man. He is too tough for words. Great if you like an action film, my husband loved it. Of course, I would have loved an easy going romantic comedy. But every now and then you have to compromise to keep everyone happy! Not for kids or the faint of heart. But a very good movie.

Concert

We were fortunate to get tickets to a Bonnie Raitt concert in Shreveport last night. We drove over there and had a blast. Met up with some friends, shopped, ate and really enjoyed her show. She has such an incredible voice. I have listened to a few of her songs in years past, but my husband is a die hard fan. So he really enjoyed the evening. I am hoping to see Elton John. It is on my to do list before I die.
Well, I am off to do some shopping today and visit with my mom. Last week, we had such severe weather that I was unable to see her for Mothers Day. So we are taking a trip this weekend for a visit. Hope you have a great Saturday!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! We just arrived home. We spent the weekend out of town to relax a day or two. It is raining so much here I just cant believe it. The roads are flooding and the yard is a mess. We are expecting 3 more days of rain and then you know what that means! The grass will be totally out of control!!!! Thank goodness Donnie will be off on Friday and can take care of those things for me. I am enjoying the day. I have heard from all of my kids today and talked to my mother. We are having steak tonight for dinner( my fave) and just kicking back and doing nothing for the rest of the day. Have a great week!

Movie Monday

Hope everyone had a great weekend! My movie choice today is not very deep. In fact, it is pretty goofy but very entertaining. If you just want to sit back and laugh, then this is a good choice. Wild Hogs is about a group of middle age men who take off on a road trip to seek adventure and escape from their boring everyday life. Since we ride Harleys, we did enjoy the movie. The language is a little bit rough at times, but overall a cute show to watch on a saturday night. The critics gave this show a bad review, they obviously do not ride motorcycles. They have never felt the rain in their face or felt june bugs smack them in the eye. I am sure they could not imagine riding for 400 miles in the heat or the cold. Or having to shed 30lbs of leather just to go to the bathroom. I guess it is just a biker thing! Hope you enjoy it! Have a great week.

Brighton Special!

You girls, know I just love Brighton! Right now there is a Mothers Day special going on. Purchase the bracelet and necklace and the earrings are free! What a deal that is. I went shopping today on my lunch break and my boss bought a lovely set for herself. I have just purchased a new handbag so I am trying to hold off ......until next week...LOL. The problem I have is trying to make up my mind. There are so many beautiful pieces that I want and it is very hard to resist. Because I am a nurse, it is difficult for me to wear necklaces. I wish it was buy two bracelets and get a pair of earrings for free. Now, that is a deal I could really love!

I have no clue what to buy my mother this year for her special day. Any ideas out there???? What do you give the person who has everything. I am tossing around the idea of a new Eileen West nightgown and robe for her. I am pretty sure she has never owned a set and I know I love them to pieces.
